The MLB Daily Three Pack

Welcome to the Daily Three Pack where we share three core players on FantasyDraft that you are going to want to target for MLB DFS contests on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

Pitcher to Target

Patrick Corbin-$18,400-ARI

Corbin is likely to fly under the radar with all the pitchers taking the mound tonight but he shouldn’t as Corbin has been excellent to start the season. In his first two starts of the year, Corbin has allowed a total of two runs in 13 innings while striking out 20. In those games, Corbin has only walked two batters and has a WHIP of 0.77. Now it is doubtful Corbin keeps up this level of play throughout the season but there is a reason to believe he has another strong start tonight and that is all due to the match-up with the Giants. The Giants have been one of the worst hitting teams in the majors against left-handed pitching for a while and since the start of last season, they rank next to last in team wOBA against them (24th this season) and team wRC+. This game is also in San Fran which also gives a boost to Corbin as AT&T Park is a much better pitcher’s park than Chase Field is.

Infielder to Target

Wilmer Flores-$5,400-NYM

Flores against a left-handed pitcher normally equals profits as Flores is excellent against them. Since the start of 2015, Flores has an OPS of .959, an ISO of .303 and a wOBA of .398 against them. Now the left-handed pitcher Flores is facing tonight Caleb Smith is a really good young pitcher but that shouldn’t bother you from Flores as Smith has struggled against right-handed hitting. In his young career, Smith is allowing right-handed hitters to slug .473 with a .350 wOBA. Smith has also struggled with keeping the ball in the park against righties with five career home runs allowed in just 19.1 innings for work including one already this season.

Outfielder to Target

Tommy Pham-$6,900-STL

There are five or six outfielders in Coors Field you could roster tonight as well as some of the familiar names like Mike Trout and Bryce Harper who are in great match-ups but I wanted to give you someone not so obvious in this post in Pham. The reason why I love Pham tonight is due to the fact he is facing a left-handed pitcher and Pham had a lot of success against lefties a year ago. Last season, Pham had an OPS of .964, an ISO of .260 and a wOBA of .405 against lefties. The lefty he is facing Brent Suter is also a pitcher to attack with right-handed hitters as in his short career he is allowing righties to slug .427 with a .327 wOBA.
