Top Value Picks & Targets for NFL Week 16

In this article, I will be breaking down some of my top value plays on FantasyDraft position by position. I will give you one or two names at each position to consider each week. This article is meant to be used in conjunction with our top plays article that comes out earlier in the week. Using both articles will give you a great base to help with your research.

Quarterback

Drew Stanton-$10,000-ARI

Stanton is going to get the start for the Cardinals this week and that has to put him on your radar as he is minimum salary and in an elite match-up against the Giants. This season the Giants are allowing the second-most passing yards per game this season, have allowed the most passing touchdowns and the most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Not only is this an elite match-up for Stanton but he did play well in his two previous starts this season with at least 15 fantasy points in each of those games.

Running Back

Peyton Barber-$7,300-TB

It looks like the Bucs have finally given up on Doug Martin as he was inactive last week. I personally believe that is going to be the case again this week which has to put Barber on your radar. Barber has been the main Bucs back the past three weeks with Martin out in two of those games. In those games, Barber has 48 carries for 213 yards and eight catches for 61 yards. Barber has produced at least 7 fantasy points in each of those games and should reach that mark again this week despite the horrible match-up against the Panthers.

Wide Receiver

Keelan Cole-$8,700-JAX

Cole has been a beast in the month of December. In his three games, he has 13 catches for 334 yards and three touchdowns. Cole has produced double-digit fantasy points in each of those games and is coming off a game in which he produced over 34 fantasy points. This week we should see another big game from Cole as not only are the 49ers are a great match-up but the Jaguars are also expected to be without Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns which should lead to more snaps and targets for Cole.

Kendall Wright-$6,900-CHI

Wright is a steal at his salary with the way he is playing. In his past two games, Wright has seen 24 targets and turned those targets into 17 catches for 188 yards. Wright has produced at least 15 fantasy points in each of those games. Not only is Wright playing well right now but I love the match-up with the Browns. Jason McCourty rarely if ever lines up against slot receivers which will have Wright working against the Browns lesser corners who have the fifth-worst DVOA against slot receivers this season

Tight End

Antonio Gates-$5,000-LAC

I am willing to take a chance on Gates this week for a couple of reasons. The first reason is due to the fact that Hunter Henry has been ruled out for the season. With Henry out, Gates should see more snaps than normal. The second reason I am willing to take a chance on Gates this week is due to the match-up with the Jets. The Jets have allowed eight touchdown catches to tight ends this season which is tied for third-most in the NFL. One thing we know about Gates is that he knows how to find the end zone as he has more touchdown catches than any tight end in history including one last week.

Good luck with NFL this week!
