Top Picks & Targets for NFL Week 15

In this article, I will be breaking down some of my top NFL plays on FantasyDraft position by position. I will be giving my top-ranked player at each position regardless and the reasons why I like them. I will also give you a FLEX player and this player will be my favorite player of the week at either of the skill positions minus quarterback. Now you may not be able to fit all five of these players in your lineup due to salary constrictions as while I am taking salary into account when making these plays I am not building an actual roster. This goal is with this article along with the value plays article that I will be writing later on in the week is meant to be a base to help you construct your winning lineups.

Tom Brady-$14,300-NE

I know Brady has struggled the past two weeks but that doesn’t have me worried about Brady this week as the Steelers are an elite match-up. The Steelers started the season off as one of the best teams in the NFL against the pass but since they lost Joe Hadden a month ago they have been downright pathic. In those four games, they are allowing quarterbacks to throw for 277.5 yards and produce over 19 fantasy points per game. What makes those numbers even worst are the quarterbacks they have faced in that time, Brett Hundley, Marcus Mariota, Andy Dalton and Joe Flacco. None of those four guys have been even average this season and I can only imagine what Brady is going to do them in what is a must-win game for the Patriots as if they lose it almost certainly gives the Steelers home field advantage in the playoffs.

Running Back

Alex Collins-$11,900-BAL

Even with Danny Woodhead back for the Ravens, Collins has remained their top running back. Collins has at least 15 carries in each of those four games and has rushed for 304 yards and five touchdowns in those games. Collins has also still been involved in the Ravens passing game which is where Woodhead was expected to cut into Collins production as he has at least two catches in each game and at least 20 yards receiving in three of them. Collins has produced double-digit fantasy points in each of those games and has back-to-back games with at least 20 fantasy points. This week I am expecting another big game from Collins as the match-up with the Browns is not as bad as it seems.

Wide Receiver

Devin Funchess-$11,900-CAR

Funchess has been a beast since the Panthers traded Kelvin Benjamin. In those five games, Funchess has 24 catches for 405 yards and four scores. Funchess has produced double-digit fantasy points in each of those games. This week I don’t see Funchess slowing down as the Packers are a great match-up for him. This season the Packers have the second worst DVOA against WR1 and are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to the position.

Tight End

Zach Ertz-$12,200-PHI

Ertz returned to practice today from his concussion and should play this week. That has to make him your top option at the tight end position as he gets to take on the Giants. The Giants are the best possible match-up for tight ends as they have allowed the most receiving yards, most touchdown catches and fantasy points to the position this season. When these teams met earlier in the season, Ertz had eight catches for 55 yards and a score on his way to 18.5 fantasy points. This week I fully expect Ertz to have similar production as I don’t think the drop off from Carson Wentz to Nick Foles is as big as people are making it seem.

Dede Westbrook-$10,400-JAX

I am all in on the captain of Team Preseason this week for several reasons. The first reason why I love Dede this week is due to the way he is playing. In the four games since Westbrook made his regular season debut, he has 20 catches for 235 yards and a score on 33 targets. Westbrook has at least six fantasy points in each of those games and has reached double-digit fantasy points in each of his past three games when he was not on a snap count. The second reason why I love Westbrook is due to the elite match-up against the Texans. The Texans struggle against speed receivers. This season they have faced five wide receivers who ran a 4.40 40 yard dash or faster and each of those wide receivers has at least five catches for over 100 yards according to Scott Fish. In total, the Texans have allowed 28 catches for 638 yards and six scores. In case you have not figured it out Westbrook ran a 4.34 40 at the combine. The last reason why I like Westbrook is due to his salary as he is very affordable and would still allow you to roster your Tom Brady and Antonio Brown’s of the world.

Good luck with NFL this week!
