The NBA Core Four

Welcome to the Core Four where we share four core plays for FantasyDraft that you are going to want to target for your NBA DFS contests on Friday, December 15, 2017.

In this article, I will be giving you four players to target in your cash game lineups for FantasyDraft. They will consist of two guards with one of the guards being a value play and two forwards/centers with one of those players being a value play as well.

Guard

Damian Lillard-$17,200-POR

Last time I had Lillard in this spot he sucked for us but I am not worried about Lillard sucking tonight for two reasons. The first reason is nothing has changed from why I like Lillard last time. Lillard is still playing a ton of minutes as he has played at least 36 minutes in ten straight games. Lillard is also despite Wednesday’s performance still producing at a high level as he is averaging 29.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6 assists in those games. The second reason why I love Lillard once again tonight is due to his elite match-up against the Magic. The Magic are one of the worst teams in the NBA in defending point guards as this season they are allowing the second-most fantasy points to the position and have the fourth-worst defensive efficiency.

Value Guard

Milos Teodosic-$8,400-LAC

Milos has been excellent in his two games since his return from injury. In those games, Milos is averaging 10 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3 assists in 23 minutes of action. Milos has produced at least 21 fantasy points in each of those games. Tonight I am expecting more of the same from Milos as he should play more minutes and should also have an even bigger role than normal on the offensive side of the court with the Clippers missing Austin Rivers, Danilo Gallinari and Blake Griffin tonight.

Milos has been ruled out for tonight and while Lou Williams is not a value play I am all in on him as he is the only player on the Clippers that can create his own shot.

Forward/Center

Giannis Antetokounmpo-$20,700-MIL

The Greek Freak is always one of your top options especially when he is playing the way he has been playing this month. In his six games this month, Mr. ABC is averaging 32.3 points, 11 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.2 steals, and a block. Giannis has produced at least 49 fantasy points in those games and has exceeded 60 fantasy points three times including in back-to-back games. Tonight you can expect more of the same from Giannis as the Bulls not only don’t have anyone that can match-up with Giannis but struggle in general against forwards.

Value Forward/Center

Jonas Valanciunas-$9,900-TOR

I don’t trust Jonas for cash games as he tends to play limited minutes but in GPPs he is one of my favorite plays on the slate. Jonas is one of my favorite plays for two reasons. The first is due to the fact that Jonas has played at least 27 minutes in each of the past two games and played extremely well. In those games, Jonas is averaging 21.5 points, 13 rebounds, and 40.5 fantasy points. The second reason is due to the elite match-up Jonas has against a Nets team that ranks 28th in DVP against centers and 23rd in defensive efficiency against the position.
