The NBA Core Four

Welcome to the Core Four where we share four core plays for FantasyDraft that you are going to want to target for your NBA DFS contests on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.

In this article, I will be giving you four players to target in your cash game lineups for FantasyDraft. They will consist of two guards with one of the guards being a value play and two forwards/centers with one of those players being a value play as well.

Damian Lillard-$16,500-POR

Lillard is playing a ton of minutes right now for the Trail Blazers and producing at an elite level. Lillard has played at least 36 minutes in nine straight games and in those games he is averaging 30.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Lillard has produced at least 40 fantasy points in eight of those games and has produced at least 50 fantasy points in five of those games including in four straight games. Tonight I am expecting another big game from Lillard despite the not so great match-up against the Heat.

Value Guard

Milos Teodosic-$7,900-LAC

Milos made his long-awaited return from injury on Monday and looked pretty good. In his 21 minutes of action, Milos had 12 points and 7 rebounds on his way to over 21 fantasy points. Tonight we can expect an even better performance from Milos as he should play more minutes and finds himself in an elite match-up against a Magic team that is allowing the second-most fantasy points to point guards and has the fifth-worst defensive efficiency against the position.

Nikola Vucevic-$16,000-ORL

Vucevic has been unstoppable as of late and has to be on your radar. In his past five games, Vucevic has three double-doubles and a triple-double. In those five games, he is averaging 23.6 points, 13.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.2 steals, 2.6 blocks, and 56.1 fantasy points. Tonight we could see a similar performance from Vucevic for two reasons. The first reason is due to Aaron Gordon being questionable once again tonight with a concussion. If Gordon is not able to play that would give Vucevic a boost in not only minutes but also production as Vucevic is averaging 13.31 more fantasy points per 36 minutes with Gordon off the court this season. The second reason is due to the match-up with the Clippers. DeAndre Jordan has a reputation as an elite defender but the fact is he is bad. This season Jordan has a defensive rating of 109.4 which is the seventh-worst rating of centers that have started at least one game this season. Jordan’s struggles on the defensive end are the main reason why the Clippers have struggled against centers this season as they rank 21st in fantasy points allowed per game to the position and 19th in defensive efficiency.

Value Forward/Center

Lance Stephenson-$8,000-IND

Both Darren Collison and Cory Joseph are questionable to play tonight and if one or both of them are out tonight I am all over Stephenson. Stephenson should play a ton of minutes if either one of those guys is out especially Collison. On Sunday with Collison out, Stephenson played 35 minutes and had a huge game with 12/6/6 on his way to 27.50 fantasy points. That was the second game that Stephenson produced at least 24 fantasy points and the tenth time in his past 14 games he has reached that level of production. Tonight I don’t see why Stephenson if one of those guys is out, doesn’t have similar production in a game against the Thunder that should be one of the highest scoring on this slate.
