The NBA Core Four

Welcome to the Core Four where we share four core plays for FantasyDraft that you are going to want to target for your NBA DFS contests on Monday, December 4, 2017.

In this article, I will be giving you four players to target in your cash game lineups for FantasyDraft. They will consist of two guards with one of the guards being a value play and two forwards/centers with one of those players being a value play as well.

Victor Oladipo-$15,800-IND

Hard not to like Oladipo tonight with the way he is playing. In his past ten games, Oladipo is averaging 24.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.6 blocks. Oladipo has produced at least 37 fantasy points in eight of those games and is averaging 46.38 fantasy points in those games. Not only is Oladipo playing well but I am a big fan of the match-up with the Knicks. Outside of Courtney Lee, the Knicks don’t have good wing defenders and can struggle with wing players. When these two teams met earlier in the season Oladipo went for 32.75 fantasy points and I expect him to exceed that amount with ease tonight.

Value Guard

Jonathon Simmons-$9,800-ORL

I love the way Simmons is playing with Terrence Ross out. In the past two games that Ross has missed Simmons has played at least 38 minutes and played well in those minutes. Simmons is averaging 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals+blocks and has produced at least 27 fantasy points in those games. The Hornets are also a positive match-up for Simmons as this season they rank in the bottom third in fantasy points allowed per game to small forwards where Simmons is getting the majority of his minutes and defensive efficiency to the position. Simmons should easily pay off his salary once again tonight.

Enes Kanter-$13,900-NY

In the two games since Kristaps Porzingis left with an injury after two minutes and in Kanter’s own return from injury he is averaging 20 points and 15 rebounds. Kanter has produced at least 43 fantasy points in both of those games and has produced at least 40 fantasy points in three of his past four games. The Pacers are the best possible match-up for centers. This season the Pacers rank in the bottom three in fantasy points allowed per game to centers and defensive efficiency to the position. The Pacers are also a terrible rebounding team who rank in the bottom third in team rebounding rate. Kanter is going to have another huge game tonight and is my favorite player on this slate when you factor in salary.

Value Forward/Center

Michael Beasley-$6,900-NY

I am going to go with another Knicks big man in my value slot as Beasley is also a must play for me with Kristaps Porzingis out. In the past two games that Porzingis has missed this season, Beasley has played at least 28 minutes and has had a usage rate over 37%. That usage rate would be tops in the NBA over the entire season. That elite usage rate has allowed Beasley to average 25.5 points in those games and to produce at least 26 fantasy points in each of the games. Tonight you can fully expect more of the same as the Pacers rank 21st in fantasy points allowed per game to power forwards and 27th in defensive efficiency against the position.
