The NBA Core Four

Welcome to the Core Four where we share four core plays for FantasyDraft that you are going to want to target for your NBA DFS contests on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

In this article, I will be giving you four players to target in your cash game lineups for FantasyDraft. They will consist of two guards with one of the guards being a value play and two forwards/centers with one of those players being a value play as well.

Guard

Russell Westbrook-$21,100-OKC

After a slow start to the season, Westbrook is starting to look like the Westbrook we saw all of last season. In his past four games, Westbrook is averaging 27.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, 10.3 assists and 2.8 steals. Westbrook has produced at least 60 fantasy points in each of the four games and is averaging 64.94 fantasy points in those games. Not only is Westbrook playing well right now but he is also in a positive match-up against the Orlando Magic. Elfrid Payton is one of the worst defensive point guards in the NBA and this season he has a defensive net rating of 113.2. As a team, the Magic allow the second-most fantasy points per game to the point guard position. Westbrook should continue his hot play in this one and he is one of my top two players on this slate.

Value Guard

Tyus Jones-$8,600-MIN

If Jeff Teague is out once again tonight I am going to be all over Jones once again. Jones is playing too many minutes and playing too well in Teague’s absence. In the past three games with Teague out, Jones is averaging 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 4 steals and just under a block a game in 37 minutes of action. Jones has produced at least 30 fantasy points in each of those games and there is no reason to believe Jones doesn’t have similar production tonight in a game that has the second highest projected point total on the slate.

Forward/Center

Andre Drummond-$16,800-DET

I am all in on Drummond tonight as I love the way he is playing. Drummond has looked like a completely different player this season and is putting up big stats across the board. This season, Drummond is averaging career highs in points, rebounds, assists, steals and is even hitting his free throws. Drummond has been especially great as of late. In his past six games, Drummond has five double-doubles and in those five games, he is averaging 49.7 fantasy points. Drummond is also in a great match-up tonight as the Pistons take on the Suns. The Suns rank in the bottom ten in rebounds allowed per game to centers and are below average in fantasy points allowed per game to the position. Drummond has a great chance to have his second straight 20-20 game tonight and should easily surpass 45 fantasy points.

Value Forward/Center

Lance Stephenson-$8,200-IND

Mr. Born Ready has to be on your radar tonight at his salary with the way he is playing. In his past eight games, Stephenson is averaging 10.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. Stephenson has produced at least 23 fantasy points in seven of those games including back-to-back games with at least 30 fantasy points. The match-up is also in Stephenson’s favor as not only are the Rockets average at best in defending wing players but this game has the highest projected point total on the slate at 224. Stephenson would also get a huge boost if Victor Oladipo who is a game-time decision tonight is ruled out.
