The NBA Core Four

Welcome to the Core Four where we share four core plays for FantasyDraft that you are going to want to target for your NBA DFS contests on Monday, November 27, 2017.

In this article, I will be giving you four players to target in your cash game lineups for FantasyDraft. They will consist of two guards with one of the guards being a value play and two forwards/centers with one of those players being a value play as well.

Guard

Darren Collison-$12,000-IND

I am going to keep it simple in cash games tonight and roster players that are priced right, playing great basketball and are in great match-ups. Collison is one of those players. He is very affordable at only $12,000 in salary. Collison is also playing great basketball right now and in his past six games, he is averaging 15.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.3 steals. Collison has produced at least 30 fantasy points in each game. One of those games was against the Magic who he faces tonight. The Magic are one of the worst teams in the NBA in allowing fantasy points to point guards as this season they are allowing the third-most to point guards. Collison may not be the sexy name on this slate but he is the correct play for all of these reasons.

Value Guard

Lou Williams-$10,600-LAC

Williams is close to a must play for me tonight for several reasons. The first is due to the way Williams has played with Patrick Beverley out of the lineup. In the seven games that Beverley has missed this season, Williams is averaging 22.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.9 steals in 36.1 minutes of action. Williams has produced at least 23 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 38.3 fantasy points in those games. The second reason why Williams is close to a must play for me is due to the match-up against the Lakers. The Lakers rank in the bottom third in terms of fantasy points allowed per game to guards. The last reason why Williams is close to a must play for me is his very affordable salary of just $10,600.

Forward/Center

LeBron James-$20,900-CLE

I gave you two affordable guards earlier and one of the reasons why I did that is so fitting The King into your lineups would not be an issue. James is the one player on this slate that I want to spend up for tonight. James has been unstoppable during the Cavs seven-game winning streak as he is averaging 27.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 blocks+steals. James has produced at least 50 fantasy points in five of those games and is averaging 57.88 fantasy points in his past six games. Not only is James playing great but I love the match-up for him against the 76ers. This game should be one of the highest scoring on the slate and James has dominated the 76ers as of late. In his past seven games against them, James has produced at least 60 fantasy points five times. Don’t get cute tonight and lock in James as he should be the highest scoring player on this slate.

Value Forward/Center

Lance Stephenson-$8,000-IND

I don’t think Victor Oladipo is going to play tonight and if he doesn’t play Stephenson should be the second player in your lineups right after LeBron James. With Oladipo out last game, Stephenson played 36 minutes and had a huge game with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 33 fantasy points. What makes that game even more impressive was that it game against Boston who is the best defensive team in the NBA this season. Tonight’s match-up is night and day compared to Boston as the Magic are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA especially against shooting guards which is where Stephenson will play the majority of his minutes. This season the Magic are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to the position. Stephenson should have another great game in this one and once again if Oladipo is out he is a must play in my book.
