Top Value Picks & Targets for NFL Week 12

In this article, I will be breaking down some of my top value plays on FantasyDraft position by position. I will give you one or two names at each position to consider each week. This article is meant to be used in conjunction with our top plays article that comes out earlier in the week. Using both articles will give you a great base to help with your research.

Quarterback

Matt Moore-$10,200-MIA

It looks like Jay Cutler is going to be out this week with a concussion and that has to put Moore on your radar in this match-up against the Patriots. Thought the Pats have been better the past couple of weeks they have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. This season they are allowing the most passing yards per game and rank in the bottom three in DVOA against the pass and fantasy points allowed per game to quarterbacks. The Pats are also huge favorites in this game which should mean the Dolphins should be passing a lot as they try to play catchup. Moore is also not that bad a quarterback and he has shown throughout his career that he can play.

Running Back

Bilal Powell-$9,300-NYJ

Powell let everyone down in his last game and is in a bad match-up against the Panthers this week. The Panthers have been one of the best teams in the NFL in stopping the run as they are allowing the third least rushing yards per game, have the third best DVOA against the run and are allowing the fifth-least fantasy points per game to running backs. While I know on paper Powell looks like a bad play due to these facts I am having a hard time not playing him if Matt Forte is out. Powell minus the disaster two weeks ago just puts up numbers when Forte is out as he has produced over 20 fantasy points in four of the past six games that Forte has either missed or played limited snaps due to injury.

Wide Receiver

Dontrelle Inman-$6,800-CHI

Inman struggled a bit last week which was expected with Darius Sally covering him but still had a solid game. Inman had three catches for 43 yards on five targets in that game and now has nine catches for 131 yards in his two games with the Bears. Inman has produced at least seven fantasy points in each of those games and that is a level of production I expect from him this week against an Eagles team that ranks in the bottom third in fantasy points allowed per game to wide receivers.

Corey Coleman-$7,700-CLE

The match-up is bad for Coleman this week against a Bengals team that is allowing the third-least fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Despite that bad match-up, Coleman is one of my favorite cheap wideouts this week as he proved last week he was match-up proof. In his return from injury, Coleman saw 11 targets and had six catches for 80 yards. Coleman now has 11 catches for 113 yards and a score in the two games that he has been healthy this season. Coleman has produced at least 14 fantasy points in both of those games with both coming in tough match-ups. The first game was against a Steelers team that has allowed the fourth-least fantasy points per game to the position this season. The second game was against the Jaguars. The Jags have been the best pass defense in the NFL this season as they are allowing the least fantasy points per game to the position and have only allowed one other wide receiver to go for over 75 yards receiving this season. That wide receiver was Antonio Brown who is by far the best wideout in the NFL.

Tight End

Martellus Bennett-$5,500-NE

I don’t really love the value at the tight end position this week and will personally be spending up. With that being said if you need to punt the position I don’t mind Bennett this week. In the two games since rejoining the Patriots, Bennett has three catches in each game and has produced at least four fantasy points. This week should be more of the same for Bennett as the Dolphins are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends.

Good luck with NFL this week!
