Top Value Picks & Targets for NFL Week 10

In this article, I will be breaking down some of my top value plays on FantasyDraft position by position. I will give you one or two names at each position to consider each week. This article is meant to be used in conjunction with our top plays article that comes out earlier in the week. Using both articles will give you a great base to help with your research.

Quarterback

Ryan Fitzpatrick-$10,300-TB

There are a lot of great value quarterbacks on this slate. I talked about one in my top plays of the week post in Josh McCown and wanted to focus on the quarterback facing McCown in this post in Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick is going to get the start with Jameis Winston out this week and this is a great spot for him. While the Jets are not as bad of a secondary as the Bucs are they are not a great secondary by any means. This season they rank in the bottom third in passing yards allowed per game, DVOA against the pass, and fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Not only is the match-up a good one for Fitzpatrick but he has shown that he still has some Fitzmagic left in him. In the two games that he has played in relief of Winston this season, Fitz has thrown for 358 yards and four scores in what would amount to one full game.

Running Back

Orleans Darkwa-$9,500-NYG

I am personally spending up at the running back position this week. There is so much value on this slate that spending up to grab two of the elite running backs shouldn’t be an issue. With that being said if you are looking for savings at the position Darkwa is a great option. Darkwa looks to have grabbed the lead running back role in the Giants backfield as he has received at least 18 touches in two of the past three games. In those games, Darkwa is averaging 94 rushing yards and 10.5 receiving yards. Darkwa has produced at least nine fantasy points in those two weeks and has produced at least seven fantasy points in four straight weeks. I also love the match-up for Darkwa this week as the Giants take on the 49ers. The 49ers have been the worst run defense in the NFL. This season they have allowed the most rushing yards per game, second-most rushing touchdowns, and most fantasy points per game to running backs.

Wide Receiver

Robby Anderson-$9,500-NYJ

Anderson is the first player I am putting into my cash game lineups for several reasons. The first reason is his salary as Anderson is underpriced at under $10,000 in salary for the way he is performing which is the second reason why I am playing Anderson. Anderson has been excellent in his past four games for the Jets. In those games, he has at least 75 yards receiving in two games and has a touchdown in three straight games. Anderson has produced double-digit fantasy points in each of those games and has at least eight fantasy points in six of his past seven games. Anderson should be able to easily reproduce those numbers this week against the Bucs which is the final reason why I am playing Anderson. The Bucs have one of if not the worst secondary in the NFL. This season they rank in the bottom third in passing yards allowed per game, passing touchdowns allowed, DVOA to opposing teams WR1 and the second most fantasy points per game to wide receivers.

Marquise Goodwin-$7,000-SF

I am having a hard time passing over Goodwin this week for several reasons. The first reason is due to the simple fact that Goodwin is the only healthy 49ers wide receiver left. The 49ers are going to be without Pierre Garcon who is on injured reserve and Trent Taylor for this week. The 49ers are also going to be without their stud tight rookie tight end George Kittle. The second reason I am having a hard time passing over Goodwin this week is due to the match-up against the Giants. The Giants have had one of the worst secondaries in the NFL this season and rank in the bottom third in fantasy points allowed per game to wide receivers and in passing yards allowed per game. Goodwin is also dirt cheap at only $7,000 in salary this week. Now I do have some concerns with Goodwin that I wanted to point out. The first is the fact that Goodwin has been inconsistent throughout his career with this season being no exception. My second concern is if the Giants decide to stick Janoris Jenkins on Goodwin all game. While the Giants secondary as a whole is bad Jenkins is one of the best corners in the NFL and if he shadows Goodwin it is ball game for Goodwin as Goodwin does not have the talent to overcome Jenkins.

Tight End

Garrett Celek-$5,000-SF

With George Kittle out of action this week Celek has to be on your radar as he will get the start in Kittle’s place in a great match-up against the Giants. The Giants have been dreadful against tight ends. This season the Giants have allowed at least one touchdown to the position in each of their games. The Giants have allowed opposing teams tight ends to produce at least 15 fantasy points in each game this season and are allowing the most fantasy points per game to the position at 19.5 fantasy points. If that was not enough to get you excited about Celek his site minimum salary should.

Good luck with NFL this week!
