Top Picks & Targets for NFL Week 4

In this article, I will be breaking down some of my top NFL plays on FantasyDraft position by position. I will be giving my top-ranked player at each position regardless and the reasons why I like them. I will also give you a FLEX player and this player will be my favorite player of the week at either of the skill positions minus quarterback. Now you may not be able to fit all five of these players in your lineup due to salary constrictions as while I am taking salary into account when making these plays I am not building an actual roster. This goal is with this article along with the value plays article that I will be writing later on in the week is meant to be a base to help you construct your winning lineups.

Quarterback

Russell Wilson-$13,700-SEA

I am all over Wilson this week for a couple of reasons. The first reason is the way Wilson looked last week. Wilson looked like the Wilson of old with 373 passing yards and four scores on his way to over 36 fantasy points. The second reason why I like Wilson this week is due to the matchup with the Colts. The Colts have struggled to say the least against the pass. This season the Colts rank in the bottom third in passing yards allowed per game, DVOA against the pass and fantasy points allowed per game to quarterbacks. While I doubt Wilson produces over 36 fantasy points again this week I have no doubt in my mind that Wilson carves the Colts defense up and has himself a huge game.

Running Back

Kareem Hunt-$16,100-KC

In his first three career games, Hunt has looked like the best player in the NFL. Hunt leads the league in rushing yards with 401, total yards with 538 and is tied with Todd Gurley for the touchdown lead with six. Hunt has produced at least 25 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging a league-best 34.6 fantasy points per game. Now Hunt is going to slow down at some point this season as he cannot break off 50 plus yard plays for touchdowns each week but I don’t think he slows down this week. The reason why I don’t think Hunt slows down this week is due to the matchup with the Redskins. The Redskins are not a bad defense at all but they are not a great defense and are average at best against the run. Hunt also has the benefit of playing for Andy Reid and Reid has shown several times in the past that he knows how to get his running backs involved. Hunt should have another huge game this week and I just don’t see myself fading him in cash games until he gives me a reason to.

Wide Receiver

A.J. Green-$16,300-CIN

Green finally had the breakout week everyone was expecting. Last week, Green had ten catches for 111 yards and a score on his way to over 30 fantasy points. It is no coincidence that the big game came after the Bengals fired their offensive coordinator in an effort to get Green the ball more. The Bengals after another loss should look to Green’s way early and often once again this week and Green should go off as the matchup against the Browns is an excellent one. The Browns have been eaten alive by opposing teams top wideouts this season. The Browns allowed Antonio Brown to catch 11 passes for 182 yards on his way to over 32 fantasy points in week one. In week two they allowed Jeremy Maclin to find the end zone and in week three T.Y. Hilton went for seven catches for 153 yards and a score on his way to over 31 fantasy points. Green is going to score over 30 fantasy points once again this week and he is my top overall wide receiver on this slate.

Tight End

Cameron Brate-$7,400-TB

After not having the best week one Brate was able to bounce back in week two against a tough Vikings defense. In that game, Brate had four catches for 33 yards and a score. That is the kind of production we have come to expect from Brate as last season Brate had ten games in which he had either four catches for over 40 yards or a touchdown. That is elite production from a tight end especially one that is cheap. Not only do I like the production Brate brings you game in and game out but I love the matchup against the Giants. The Giants have struggled against tight ends the past couple of seasons and have started off really poorly against them this season. Through the first three games of this season, the Giants have allowed at least 45 yards receiving and a score to an opposing team’s tight end. They are allowing 18.5 fantasy points per game to the position which is the third worst in the NFL. I like Brate to continue his great play this week and for him to find the end zone at least once.

Flex

Leonard Fournette-$12,600-JAX

Fournette is going to be the first player I put into my lineups this week as he has the three things I look for in a player. Those three things are talent, matchup, and salary. Let’s start with the talent as Fournette has shown that he can play in this league. Fournette has scored a touchdown in each of his three games this season and is averaging over 88 total yards per game. Fournette has produced at least 14 fantasy points in each of those three games. This week I am expecting more of the same as the matchup which is the second thing I look for is one of the best in the NFL. The Jets were able to shut down Jay Ajayi last week but I think that had more to do with the Dolphins sucking than the Jets being good. In the first two weeks of the season, the Jets struggled to stop the run as they allowed over 180 rushing yards in each of those games. The Jets allowed 34.8 fantasy points to the Bills running backs and 37.3 fantasy points to the Raiders running backs. The last thing I look for in a player is their salary. While I don’t mind spending up for a player I would prefer if they were affordable as that allows you roster flexibility and Fournette at only $12,600 is beyond affordable.

Good luck with NFL this week!
