Play QBs Against the Saints (and Other Relevant Fantasy Info)

Last week, I posted a chart showing how efficient certain teams had been from a football perspective against certain positions, including segmenting the wide receiver (WR) position. It’s hard to find broken down fantasy data as in-depth as Football Outsiders offers from a reality standpoint. For that reason, I thought the chart would be helpful. When it comes down to it, most playing DFS just want the fantasy statistical data, so I thought I’d follow-up this week with that information.

Below is a table displaying where teams rank in fantasy points allowed to all the positions offered on FantasyDraft. If a team is listed as “1”, it dictates they allow the most fantasy points to position. For example, the Saints’ “1” against quarterbacks (QBs) means their defense allows the most fantasy points to opposing QBs. The difficult one to comprehend is defense and special teams (DST); “1” means that opposing defenses score the most fantasy points against that team’s offense. So the 49ers are listed at the top of the table below and have a ranking of “2” against DST, meaning they allow opposing defenses to score the second-most fantasy points of any team… which makes sense because Colin Kaepernick has struggled mightily this season and the team has now resorted to the Blaine Gabbert experience. Without further ado, let this chart assist you in identifying weekly targets against certain positions. Enjoy.
