This is No Baby Carlos

Carlos Correa has set the MLB on fire since his call up and the inferno should continue against LHP Robbie Ray. Here are my picks for Sunday, August 2:

tournament-plays

Infielders (IF) Outfielders (OF) Pitchers (P)
Anthony Rizzo, $9,900 Hunter Pence, $9,600 Jose Fernandez, $24,000
Carlos Correa, $9,600 Ryan Braun, $8,700 Sonny Gray, $22,200

Joey Butler, $6,300 Brock Holt, $6,300 Hisashi Iwakuma, $13,500

preferred-play

Preferred Stacks: Orioles, Giants, Pirates, White Sox, Rangers, Mariners, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Cubs, Reds and Brewers

Secondary/Contrarian Stacks: Yankees, Rays, Red Sox, Royals, Dodgers and Phillies

Weather Concerns: The NYY/CWS and COL/STL games run the risk of delays late in the game but for the most part there is not much to worry about today.

Note: I will update the quick picks throughout the course of the day and adjust picks according to who is in/out of lineups.

Bonus: Chris Coghlan hitting third makes him more appealing and should be a staple in any Cubs stack. Daniel Murphy is 19-56 career off Jordan Zimmermann. Omar Infante is 17-34 career off R.A. Dickey with two HR and makes for a tournament play (batting eighth). Cesar Hernandez’s price remains too cheap ($5,400). Chris Davis continues to show power against lefties so he’s in play as well along with almost all Orioles. I just realized Chris Johnson’s price is $4,200 which is way too cheap for his skills against LHP.
