Melk This Outfielder for All He’s Worth

Melky Cabrera has registered at least two base hits in each of the last seven games and has a productive history against the knuckleball. Here are my picks for the night slate on Thursday, July 30:

Infielders (IF) Outfielders (OF) Pitchers (P)
Josh Donaldson, $10,200 Starling Marte, $9,200 Chris Sale, $23,900
Jose Abreu, $9,900 Jose Bautista, $9,000 Jake Arrieta, $23,100
Brian Dozier, $9,500 Jacoby Ellsbury, $8,700 Carlos Martinez, $20,900

Ivan De Jesus, $5,200 Cameron Maybin, $6,900 Phil Hughes, $13,600
Adonis Garcia, $3,900 Preston Tucker, $6,300 Matt Shoemaker, $13,200

Preferred Stacks: Blue Jays, White Sox, Orioles, Pirates, Yankees, Twins, Astros and Rangers

Secondary/Contrarian Stacks: Cardinals, Tigers, Royals, Braves, Reds and Indians

Weather Concerns: There are concerns all throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic today with CWS/BOS having the likeliest chance of delay. It appears there is a low risk for postponement, so at this point I am still deploying all members of that game, including Chris Sale.

Note: I will update the quick picks throughout the course of the day and adjust picks according to who is in/out of lineups.

Bonus: Jung-Ho Kang and Francisco Cervelli just missed the cut for infielders as they possesses extreme platoon advantages against lefties. Josh Reddick has been on fire as of late, but his matchup is no gimme… that makes him a nice contrarian tournament option. Kyle Schwarber will play left field and becomes probably the best value of the night.
